Brandy Escamilla, DPT

Owner, Brandy Escamilla received her doctorate of physical therapy from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. her undergraduate work in exercise science and psychology was completed at Nebraska Wesleyan University. Clinical instructors recognized Brandy's gift for working with children and encouraged her to pursue a pediatric specialty.

Brandy is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Nebraska Physical Therapy Association. Brandy has both the energy and personality to keep up with her young patients in additional to a daughter. To keep in shape for the challenge she runs, cycles, participates in advance races and plays an excellent game of volleyball.

"I'm flexible and allow the child to find something they want to do, then adapt the activity towards accomplishing their goals for physical therapy. It's a way to get them motivated. A positive, fun and caring attitude and environment is essential when working with young patients."

Gayle Ellis, M.A., CCC-SLP

Gayle Ellis, M.A., CCC-SLP

Gayle Ellis brings a wealth of experience to Leaps and Bounds. Practice as a speech language pathologist for 30+ years, Gayle has an extensive history of involvement in education, business, rehabilitation and human services. Her career path has included: teaching, treating and research at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Department of Special Education and Communication Disorders, seven years of rehabilitation management and working in local schools serving the needs of children with communication disorders. As a partner with Brandy in the company, she has turned over her direct service roll to focus on overall management of Leaps and Bounds.

Gayle is a member of the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and the Nebraska Speech Language and Hearing Association (NSLHA). She has presented numerous times at State and National Professional conventions in the area of fluency disorders (stuttering) and acquired language disorders. She served as a Board Member of her State Professional Association and numerous community organizations.
